Just Peachy Festival at Terhune Orchards

Celebrate Jersey Fresh and one of our state's favorite fruits by joining us for our second annual Just Peachy Festival. A special feature of this festival will be our "Summer Harvest " farm-to-fork tasting section featuring local chefs who will use locally sources ingredients to prepare recipes for visitors to sample. The weekend will be filled with plenty of activities for kids, including a ride through the orchards on our tractor-drawn wagons, pony rides, games and barnyard fun.Bring your appetites for Pam's food tent, filled with lots of tasty peach treats: peach pie, sliced peaches and cream, and peach salsa. Enjoy tasty summer fare like barbecued chicken, hot dogs, homemade gazpacho, salads, apple cider donuts, and cider slushies. Enjoy live local music both days, 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. Make sure to visit our winery tasting room to sample our wines, including our award-winning Just Peachy wine. Filled with the freshest summer fruit, try our own peach sangria. Pam Mount's popular free canning class will be held during the festival at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 3. more

Centenary's WNTI Stage Summer Festival

Where: Knowlton Township Lions Club Pavilion

WNTI Radio at Centenary College in partnership with Kennedy Events Services will host WNTI Stage Festival at the Lions Pavilion on Route 46 in Knowlton Township from August 15th-17th. There will be music, food, and vendors at the event. Friday hours are 6-10 p.m., Saturday 12-10 p.m., and Sunday, 12-7 p.m.

DogFest 2014

Canine lovers everywhere, mark your calendars: Dogfest 2014 is coming! This popular annual event, billed as "a day to celebrate dogs and the people who love them," will be held on Sunday, August 24 at the Old Mill Park. Our 6th annual Dogfest will once again feature fun for the whole family, including raffles, face painting, prizes and giveaways, food, refreshments, children's activities, a 50/50, music by Magic Cube Entertainment, and a vendor fair showcasing unique products and gifts perfect for spoiling the four-legged love in your life. DogFest is presented by Open Doors, An Amazing Grace Foundation, sponsored by Rally To Rescue and Community Life, and hosted by the town of Woodcliff Lake. Admission is free. Well-socialized dogs on 6-foot non-retractable leashes are welcome to attend, enjoy our popular "Splash Down" water play area, and compete for prizes in a number of entertaining canine contests, including Best Kisser, Best Dressed, Musical Sit, and more. The theme for this year's event is "Who Rescued Whom," in honor of Jessie, the sweet rescue dog (pictured above) who came into the lives of Open Doors founders Ruth and Hugo Tschudin, launching their mission to help other animals in need of adoptive homes.
