About Dr. Alberta
Whether he’s treating a retiree who wants to garden pain-free or an elite baseball player, Dr. Alberta works to prepare and protect his patients for the rest of their active lives. As a sports medicine specialist, he focuses primarily on joint, ligament and tendon repair, and reconstruction of the shoulder, elbow and knee. He routinely performs rotator cuff, ACL and shoulder replacement surgery.
Fellowship trained at the highly regarded Kerlan-Jobe Orthopaedic Clinic in Los Angeles, where he was mentored by Dr. Frank Jobe, a pioneer in sports medicine, Dr. Alberta has worked with active people at all levels of competition. The Bergen County native, in practice for almost nine years, is board certified in orthopaedic surgery. “I under- stand what athletes are up against when they’re hurt,” he says. “I can apply that knowledge and experience to everyday injuries suffered off the field as well.”
