The recent Bamboozle Festival was not just great for New Jersey music fans, it also provided a high-profile opportunity for a bunch of Jersey bands like the Bouncing Souls to play to their home state crowd.

Always a fan of hip-hop music, I joined a crowd of upbeat teenagers at the Ritz Theatre in Elizabeth, to watch local dance crews showcase their talent.

Some days you just get lucky. Yesterday, when tickets for the Lil Wayne concert fell in my lap, was one of those days.
