CASINO: Classic table games and slots, and a Poker Room located in the House of Blues.

DINING: With New Orleans-themed restaurants, the cuisine of Showboat focuses on Cajun specialties. The French Quarter Buffet’s fine dining offers “Big Easy specials” on Saturday nights with all-you-can-eat lobsters for $30. Casa di Napoli is known for its brick-oven pizza, while Scarduzio’s menu has everything from seafood, steak, sushi, chicken, and a raw bar. The Foundation Room serves small plates along with a dose of 19th century French and Oriental decor. For casual dining head to Johnny Rocket’s or the Royal Noodle House.

ENTERTAINMENT: It is all about Southern hospitality at the House of Blues at Showboat, the popular music venue that hosts acts ranging from R&B to heavy metal to folk.

NIGHTLIFE: For nighttime fun, try the Party Pit nightclub located in the House of Blues; the FREEZE Bar’s various daiquiris; the 12Bar in the casino; Spirit Bar; and Worship Surf Bar.

SPA: The 3,500-square-foot Vive Day Spa and Salon features a Chakra Relaxation room, a full-service hair and nail salon, and body treatments including the new Vive signature seashell massage and facial.
