Kanibal Home is a labor of love that is continually changing. A store in a developing area that tends to be something to everyone: clothing boutique, home furnishings shop, gift destination as well as a place for locals to congregate and appreciate the arts through the shop’s monthly events.

The Spa at Avon is my absolute favorite, because it is warm and inviting and very relaxing. They make me feel pampered and very well taken care of. the staff is phenomenal!!!

Kathy has created in her store an oasis from mundane worries and everyday stress we all suffer in these trying times. The paranormal in general offers us an escape from those daily woes by offering the mystery of the unknown (or not known yet) and no place does it justice like Paranormal Books.

I have been a patron of Kites for many years and over the years have found it better and better. It is located within the Minerals Resort. Food is consistently good, service can’t be beat, management is sincere and caring in taking care of their guests. Bartenders are best I’ve seen anywhere. Crowd is a mixture of young and older and weekends rock with the best DJ. Summers are always a social event at the outdoor Tiki Bar. I’d love to welcome everyone to visit my little bit of paradise here in the mountains of Vernon, NJ.

The Treehouse In Audubon NJ (120 Merchant Street) is a fantastic family friendly coffeehouse. The children can read, do crafts, color, play with an abundance of materials and toys available for them. The decor is warm and inviting and a great place to simply chill without worrying about the children. The bathrooms are stocked with diapers and essentials with little ones. Really cool pictures and writings all over and the owners are fun :) You would have to meet them to understand or check out their website (treehousecoffee.net)

If you haven’t been to Brain Freeze in Matawan yet...GO! They’ve got THE BEST homemade ice cream, nicest staff, ginormous portions, and an awesome flavor variety. 16 Prospect Wine Bar & Bistro in Westfield has the coziest atmosphere! They have live music every night, AMAZING, extensive martini & wine lists, great food (and reasonably priced), and such friendly & inviting staff... every time! I tell everyone I know to go there and they are never disappointed. Highly recommended!

Please check out the Petite Cafe. The place is located in Nutley and the cupcakes are to die for! They have some very fun traditional flavors and some unique crazy ones and they are all good. Berkshire Furniture, located in Union, is stuck between stores on Rt 22, but to miss it is to miss out. Family owned and operated, the Bernsteins take care of their customers, regardless of the amount you spend or the number of times you return. If they don’t have it in the showroom, Larry, Judy or Eric, will find what you want in one of their numerous furniture cataloges. Their prices are more than fair and the care they take is so much better than dealing with an hourly sales person at a retail chain who won’t even be there next year. These folks are in it for the long haul and have developed quite the loyal following.

Sports University in Faifield is the best fitness center my family has ever been too. My wife takes advantage of their great classes, I get to do some non-traditional workouts and our kids are taking great speed and agility classes. This place is so unique with the best staff and facility we have ever seen. Keep up the great job SU!!!!!

Robyn Ross is a boutique with sophisticated casual wear. Its the kind of store where you can go in and say "I need a new pair of jeans" and Robyn selects exactly what is flattering and hip. Its so nice to be greeted by name when you walk in! And the jewelry is gorgeous, its a great combination diamonds and denim, what more could you want.

Tito’s Burrito’s Serves the best tacos in summit & morristown. From the shrimp to the beef, chicken and everything else they prepare It’s always fresh and delicious! The chips are consistently crunchy. Their salsa from hot, medium to sweet taste spicy and fresh each and every time I visit. This place has never let me down! ~ J.Frazz

They moved from Nutley, NJ to West Caldwell, NJ. They have Nonna making the Chicken Cutlets from scratch, and she hand grinds her bread crumbs. Its an all Italian Family workuing in the deli. All speak Italian and make it the way they like it, Since they named all their favorite deli subs after themself.

They also make the vinegar from scratch. So it tastes nothing like anyone elses.

In this crazy world of fast pace society with so many choices, it is a breath of fresh air to walk into a store where the owner is right there in front of you and is truly interested in helping you. Mom and Pop shops seem to be going by the wayside. In their place are much bigger stores with buying power that can make it hard for the little stores to compete. These small stores appear to be a dying breed, but stores like Kidagories and
Beauty Basics strive to stay alive with something that the bigger store just can’t deliver on. Personal customer service, that is sincere and from the heart. Not something that they are being paid to say or do. It is a true sincere caring that set these stores apart from their larger competitors. For that I do believe that these stors should be contenders for the 2010 Best of NJ Poll!

CBL Fine Art in West Orange is a wonderful place to shop. It has everything from Jewelry, beautiful glassware, frames, platters, vases as well as a variety of other gifts. Anytime I need an unusual gift, I order from CBL. The staff is wonderful.

Always current with trends for Mom and daughter alike, "The House" in Millburn is my favorite shop. Even more shocking is that it has always delivered current, creative solutions to hair, make-up, jewelry and fashion at a competitive price point, which is critical in today’s economy. CBL gift boutique in West Orange, NJ has my vote as undoubtedly the best gift and boutique store in NJ. I have had the pleasure of being welcomed by the staff and owners for many years. As a fine artist myself, I am able to envision the scope of, and appreciate the uniqueness of their select gifts and fine arts. This cozy, little neighborhood coffeehouse in Little Falls has so much to offer--delicious coffee drinks and concoctions, breakfast, lunch and a light dinner menu, as well as incredible desserts! The cherry on top is that the staff is inviting, the ambiance is warm and they have so many events to choose from--one almost every day! Authors, musicians, artists and mini-seminars make this place a fun place to be!

Restyle Renew in Denville is a beautiful store, filled with designer women’s clothing in a high-end boutique level of organization and care. The owner knows all the inventory in the store and offers friendly help as needed. Beyond the beautiful clothing however is even more beautiful artwork from local artists they feature. Jewelry, photography, paintings, furniture and ceramics that are one-of-a kind and also very reasonably priced. We are so lucky to have this store in Denville!

Hot Sand is the best place to take kids of all ages. I brought 6 girls to make jewelry and blow balls. They had a blast. The classes were safe, educational and productive. The girls made significant pieces, they are all very proud of what they made. I highly recommend Hot Sand. The staff is courteous, professional and a delight to deal with. They went out of their way to make sure the girls were safe, had a good time and learned the right way to make glass art. We will definitely keep coming back.
