Across the state, in a host of ways, Jerseyans pitched in to aid earthquake victims in Haiti. The examples are too numerous to document here, but their scope is exemplified by the volunteer activities in Asbury Park, where food and water were collected at Convention Hall, then trucked by the non-profit organization Convoy of Hope, which has sent relief supplies to 28 million people in 112 countries and 45 states. The rig was driven to Missouri, where Convoy of Hope is based, and from there the supplies were flown to the stricken island.
