B LONDON, MONTCLAIR
B London, a new place for breakfast, brunch or lunch recently opened in Montclair. Owned by Benedicta Sisti, it is located at 307 Orange Road, and is worth seeking out for its friendly staff, casual atmosphere and homemade cuisine.
The menu has the usual breakfast (omelets, cereal, pastries and pancakes) and lunch (burgers, sandwiches, fries and wings) items but also London fare such as fish & chips, Shepard’s pie, meat pie, and beef Wellington. On a recent visit, we devoured French toast and a spinach and mushroom omelet with home fries and toast along with smooth and strong coffee. We loved that the milk for the coffee was served in a cold pitcher, the syrup for the French toast in a hot decanter and a lovely vase filled with fresh flowers brightened each table.
Menu items can also be pre-ordered to pick up either hot or at room temperature. Open daily from 7 AM to 5 PM.

LOOKING AHEAD
Essex Junction Craft Kitchen & Bar, a gastropub, expects to open in December at 90 Washington Street, Bloomfield, offering breakfast, lunch, and dinner daily along with happy hour and weekend brunch. CEO and managing partner of Experience Management Group, Jeremy Goldberg grew up in North Caldwell and attended the Culinary Institute of America. His wife is also a graduate of the CIA and a professional chef. The restaurant is close to the train station and will have a special breakfast window and pre-ordering options available for commuters.
