American Cut Bar & Grill in Englewood Cliffs Opens

The 10,000-square-foot bi-level space will have seating for 150 in the dining room, including three private-dining spaces.

LDV Hospitality and chef Marc Forgione’s American Cut Bar & Grill, 495 Sylvan Avenue (9W) Englewood will open February 19. The restaurant will feature Chili Lobster; 52 oz. Porterhouse, flambé table-side  bone-in marrow maitre’d butter; along with a selection of lighter fare, including large salads and a dedicated grilled fish section. The Bar & Grill will offer Crab Cake and Pastrami Spiced Rib-Eye sandwiches, bar snacks and burgers. Craft cocktails will incorporate staples such as the Plank Smoked Old Fashioned and a curated small bites menu.

The 10,000 square-foot bi-level space will have seating for 150 in the dining room, including 3 private dining spaces equipped with state-of-the-art A/V, and a 35-seat bar and lounge area. In the spring, watch for the opening of an elegant 60-seat outdoor terrace that will feature a full bar and fire-pit lounge area.

American Cut Bar & Grill will serve lunch and dinner daily Monday through Thursday from 11:30 AM to 10 PM, Friday & Saturday from 11:30 AM to 11 PM, and Sunday from 11:30 PM to 10 PM. Reservations preferred, and walk-ins welcome. Complimentary valet parking available daily in a private parking lot.

Chef Marc Forgione is the chef/owner of Restaurant Marc Forgione, American Cut and Lobster Press and is the co-owner/partner of Khe-Yo. He won season 3 of Food Network’s The Next Iron Chef and was recognized with a two-star review in The New York Times and received a Michelin star. Chef Forgione is a chef ambassador for Family Reach Foundation, Chefs for Kids Cancer, City Harvest, and Feeding America. In 2014, Chef Forgione authored Marc Forgione: Recipes and Stories from the Acclaimed Chef and Restaurant.

GIANTS OF GENEROSITY FUNDRAISING EVENT
On Sunday, March 20, a Giants of Generosity’s Third Annual Celebrity Food & Wine Showcase will be held at the Clinton Inn Hotel, 145 Dean Drive, Tenafly. All tickets include entrance to the Grand Tasting, featuring samples from restaurants, bakeries and wine/spirit vendors throughout the area; a silent auction; live entertainment; and the celebrity and student cook-off competitions. Students from Bergen Community College’s culinary arts program will compete for a $500 scholarship offered by Mariner’s Bank. Facing off in this year’s celebrity competition will be Carissa Lawson, anchor from News12 New Jersey and Sheryl A Fody, executive producer of TV’s new show, Consumer 411. Proceeds from this event will support the organization’s mission to provide emergency-relief financial assistance and connections to other vitally needed resources to local residents facing critical, life-altering situations. 1:30 to 5 PM; $65; $75 at the door.
