David Burke Fromagerie in Rumson and Thirty Acres in Jersey City will both close this year.

Table Hopping With Rosie received the following Email from David Burke Fromagerie, Rumson about the closing of this restaurant:

“Thanks for Sharing Our Table.

We thank you for your loyalty to our business in Rumson and for allowing us to serve and support the community for over a decade.

The David Burke Group has engaged in the process and will be selling the famed New Jersey-based restaurant, Fromagerie. Fromagerie has played an iconic role in Rumson, New Jersey’s culinary and social scenes even far gretaer than under our reign, and we look forward to passing on the legacy to the buyer who will carry that on.

We are please to continue to offer our loyal customers our signature dining experience across our other venues in New York City, Foxwoods Resort and Casino, Chicago, Las Vegas, and soon to be Aspen, later this year. As we continue to grow, we will be sure to keep you apprised of our new and existing concepts that have already begun to roll out across the country.

Again, we thank you very much for your loyalty and support over the many years; we could not have done it without you.”

The following message was posted on Thirty Acres’ website:

“Thirty Acres, Jersey City which opened in April 2012 will be closing on November 28. Owners Alex and Chef Kevin Pemoulie will be moving to Seattle. Pemoulie was chef de cuisine at David Chang’s Momofuku Noodle Bar before he opened in Jersey City. His facebook page has the following post: “Hey Everybody! It is with both sadness and excitement that we would like to announce that Alex, Kevin & Vivian will be leaving Jersey City for the great Pacific Northwest. Thirty Acres will officially be closing it’s doors Saturday November 28th. We will be taking tasting menu reservations through Wednesday 11/25 and plan on blowing it out with 2 days of OG a la carte dining and drinking for our final weekend. Thank you all for the support and love over the past (nearly) 4 years here in JC. We hope to see you all in Seattle in the future!”
