Choose the Best Chili in Town

The Montclair Chili Cook-Off will benefit the Montclair Fund For Educational Excellence.

On Saturday April 11, chili fans will select the People’s Choice winner at the Chili Cook-Off  at the Women’s Club of Montclair, 200 Cooper Avenue, Upper Montclair, to benefit the Montclair Fund For Educational Excellence (MFEE). Join me, Andrew Zimmer (Thrillist editor), Karen Schloss Diaz, (Montclair Times food columnist) and Melody Kettle (Montclair Food and Wine Festival cofounder) as we judge who will take home the top honors. Along with the tasting chilis—mild to three-alarm made with meat, poultry, veggies, global-style and Montclair Madness (chef’s choice)—there will be a beer garden to cool things off for thirsty guests. 7 PM; $35 includes a commemorative bandana. Tickets available online.
