Fish Urban Dining Comes to Ridgewood

Mike DeMiltia, who previously worked at the Central Park Boathouse and Hudson River Club, is executive chef.

Fish Urban Dining, 54 East Ridgewood Avenue, Ridgewood (201-857-5151), a seafood restaurant, has opened in the a former bank space. Karen and Jim DeGilio, managing partners of City By The Sea Hospitality Group, also operate Fish Urban Dining and Cibo e Vino, both located in Asbury Park. The 11,000-square-foot space contains the original bank vault, now used as a private dining space. The marble previously used on the bank-teller windows has been restored and is used throughout the space.

Fish has a multi-faceted menu consisting of a daily Happy Hour, Brunch on Saturday and Sunday, a full bar menu and a dinner menu with favorites like seared Barnegat Light scallops, porcini crusted wolfish and pan roasted red fish. Their daily Raw Bar selections include jumbo shrimp cocktail, clams, 12 varieties of fresh oysters, ceviche, crudos and more. The fish is sourced locally when feasible.

Executive chef is Mike DeMiltia, who previously worked at the Central Park Boathouse and Hudson River Club, both in Manhattan. Open daily from noon.

GARLIC ROSE, MADISON
The following announcement was made on the Garlic Rose homepage:

PARK & ORCHARD, EAST RUTHERFORD
Park and Orchard in East Rutherford, which was supposed to close mid-July, has delayed their closing because the transfer of the liquor license has not been completed. Call 201-939-9292, before you go to dine to be sure they are open. Once sold, the restaurant will be renovated and reopened under the same name. New owner is David Madison.
