“When We Were Kings” Dinner at Crystal Springs

Craft beer brewer Angry Erik will serve a chef's dinner at the Hamburg resort.

A “When We Were Kings” dinner with Angry Erik craft brews will be held on August 20, at Crystal Springs in Hamburg in the Chef’s Garden. The dinner will feature seven different beers including The Dainty Viking, an elderflower blonde ale; Hop-n-Awe double IPA; and Mary Shroom, a mushroom and rosemary saison.

The event starts at 6 PM with passed canapés and cocktails made with Angry Erik beers, followed by a four-course menu presented by executive chef Anthony Bucco:

Heirloom Grains (tomatoes / cucumbers / dill) with Angry Erik Two–Shoe Brew, Copper Ale;

Day-Boat Scallops (grapefruit / coriander / corn) with Angry Erik Hop-n-Awe;

Roasted Duck (mushrooms / pine / wild blueberries) with Angry Erik Mary Shroom and Chocolate (coffee / yogurt / lavender) with Angry Erik Freaky Freydis.

Angry Erik beers was founded by Erik Hassing, a lawyer, and his wife, Heide Hassing, a chemist in Lafayette in March 2014. Dinner is $65, inclusive of food and beer tastings. Reservations: 855-977-6473.
