July 15: See what takes shape at the 23rd annual New Jersey Sand-Castle Contest in Belmar. With more than 3,000 participants and spectators packing the beach and vying for prizes in categories such as most elaborate and most creative, these sculptures are not your average sand castle. Can’t dig it?
