Thru Aug 9: This special production of Stephen Sondheim’s Tony Award-winning musical Sweeney Todd is a collaboration between the New Jersey Performing Arts Center and the New Jersey Youth Theatre, which bring together talented young actors and musicians from the state to perform full-scale Broadway productions.

Originally presented last month at NJPAC’s Victoria Theatre, Sweeney Todd now spends the summer at the Algonquin Arts Theatre in Manasquan for seven performances. Kevin Melendez of West New York stars as Sweeney Todd, and Jaclyn Ingoglia of North Caldwell as Mrs. Lovett (above) in this gruesome tale of the demon barber of Fleet Street.
