POWER HOUR
April 22–26: Rock around the clock at the Newark Museum’s 100-Hour Centennial Marathon. At the five-day event, you can start the morning with sunrise yoga and Tai Chi, or meditate with Tibetan Monks. During the day, take part in art workshops, experience the beats of Japanese drumming group Soh Daiko, and be awed by Saturday’s Dinosaur Day.
When the sun goes down, hang with other night owls at the Museum’s mini-zoo, gaze up at the laser light show in the planetarium, or take a flashlight tour of the historic Ballantine House. The 100th anniversary celebration culminates on Sunday with a Motown dance party and community birthday cake in the garden.
Wed, 10:30 am–Sun, 6 pm; Call for ticket information. 49 Washington St, Newark (973-596-6550;
