Feb 25: Feel like taking a dip in the icy waters of the Atlantic? Join the party, and raise some money for a good cause. The Seaside Heights Polar Bear Plunge has become the single largest daylong fundraising event for New Jersey Special Olympics. If a freezing Atlantic Ocean doesn’t interest you, there’s plenty of room to cheer from the shoreline. The event is open to all ages; plungers have ranged from 6-year-olds to 70-somethings. Participants must raise $100 before they’re eligible to swim. Register early, as plungers who beat the deadline can qualify for awesome gifts. 9 am; free to watch.
