Oct. 10–19: Vintage dance workshops, historic house tours, murder-mystery dinners, and other period events take place across the nation’s first seaside resort at Cape May’s 36th annual Victorian Week, presented by the Mid-Atlantic Center For the Arts.

At the heart of it all is the 19th-century Physick Estate, where visitors might catch a glimpse of Victorian ladies passing the afternoon playing a game of croquet.
