Liberty Science Center Reschedules Awards Luncheon

The annual fall luncheon at Jersey City’s Liberty Science Center has been rescheduled for January 14 due to Hurricane Sandy. The event will honor Bank of America with the Corporate Mission Advance Award; Liberty Science Center trustee Jennifer Chalsty with the Distinguished Service Award; and Discovery Channel’s “Dr. G” with the Distinguished Humanitarian Award. Tickets and tables are still available.

Tuckerton Seaport & Baymen’s Museum Reports Some Damage

Tuckerton Seaport will reopen the second and third floors of the Visitor’s Center, the original Haunting Shanty, and Tucker’s Island lighthouse once full power is restored. The water damage on the first floor will be repaired within a few weeks. Smaller exhibit buildings plan to be restored in time for the 2013 Season Opening. The following events will follow normal scheduling:
• December 8 and 9: Christkindlmarkt
• Throughout December: Festival of Trees


Starland Ballroom in Sayreville Closed Until Spring 2013

Premiere Stages Announces New Dates for Liberty Live

Premiere Stages has partnered with Liberty Hall Museum at Kean University for Liberty Live, featuring productions on New Jersey’s history. Performances of Talking to Westfield have been rescheduled for December 7, 8, and 9 in the Little Theatre on Kean’s campus.
