Style: A utilitarian storefront on Burlington’s main drag, with 22 seats, serving Indian food and some Greek and American dishes.

Don’t Miss: The thick, tangy-sweet mango lassi (16-ounce cup, $4). Ask for the rice and curry combo (it’s not on the menu). The server behind the counter may offer a taste if you’re unsure whether to go with the goat or the chicken curry in the $9.99 platter. The namesake tandoor oven produces a variety of chicken dishes. Naan bread ($1.50) comes out hot and pillowy, and its lack of seasoning makes it ideal for mopping up rich Indian sauces.

Heads Up: The menu transliterates dish names but doesn’t explain them. Ask your server or point to a picture. The restaurant accepts credit cards for orders over $10, but accepts tips only in cash.

The Scoop: Bukhara serves Halal lamb, beef and chicken. The menu includes hamburgers and chicken burgers ($5); lamb and chicken gyros ($5); and whole pizzas with cheese, chicken, veggie, kebab and other toppings ($7.99-$8.99).
