Don’t Miss: Beef and chicken patties ($1.85), flaky pastries with spicy filling tucked inside, are a favorite. For something new, try the Appleton fish bites ($7.85), crispy fried white fish dipped in rum and served with a spicy cream sauce. For classic Caribbean food fans, the falling-off-bone braised oxtails ($10.95/$12.95) served with tender butter beans in a brown gravy are a must. Entrées, in two sizes, include jerk chicken and pork ($8.75–$11.75) and curried goat ($9.85–$11.85), each served with rice and peas (or white rice), steamed cabbage and plantains. A selection of fish (red snapper, whiting, tilapia, shrimp, king fish and salmon) is available, prepared to order: fried, steamed in curry, garlic, brown stew or in jerk sauce. Roti wraps are made with Trinidad-style flat bread and filled with curried goat, chicken or shrimp ($7.75–10.50).

Heads Up: Monday through Thursday lunch specials include jerk and fish sandwiches served with seasoned fries as well as select entrées for $6.25.

The Scoop: Opened in 2005, Jerk an’ Ting recently relocated to this locaton from Franklin.
