Style: Cozy and comfortable, its sunny yellow walls and bright, rainbow-Formica accents evoke a 1950s innocence.

Don’t Miss: Breakfast, always a big draw. Start with Shipwrecked-Style Eggs ($6.95): three scrambled eggs with chopped ham, bacon and sausage with home fries and toast. The Monte Cristo breakfast ($6.50) slaps roast turkey, ham and melted Swiss between two slices of fluffy French toast. For lunch, try the stuffed tomato salad ($9.25). The tomato wedges are scooped out, and then topped with tuna salad on a bed of greens, onions and cucumbers with honey mustard. Comfort food doesn’t get much more comforting than the turkey Reuben ($6.25), roast turkey on grilled marble rye with Swiss, sauerkraut and Russian dressing. Red Horse’s popular cheesesteaks include classic ($5.95); barbecue, with roasted peppers, smoky sauce and cheddar ($6.25);  and the Jersey ($6.50), smothered in hot peppers, bacon and American cheese.

Heads Up: At breakfast, the small dining room can get crowded, especially on Sundays.

The Scoop: Outdoor picnic seating—perfect for the warm-weather months.
