Style: Formerly named the R.U.B. Hut, the Grub Hut is a hidden gem in downtown Manville offering a medley of Mexican cuisine and BBQ dishes. Guests who enter the mustard-colored interior, are greeted by an assortment of mouth-watering aromas.
Don’t Miss: Munch on the complimentary tortilla chips served with a zesty homemade salsa, then start your meal with a cup of Jefe’s chili ($3-$6). Or try the slow-roasted sassafras chicken wings served Buffalo or barbecue style ($9). For your main course, the Caesar salad ($7) offers a unique take on the classic. It’s topped with Mexican Cotija cheese, tostaditas and your choice of meat: chicken ($10), pulled pork ($10), brisket ($10), steak ($11) or shrimp ($14). For something spicy, create your own Mexican combo with a variety of enchiladas, burritos, tacos, taquitos and chimis. Signature smoky spare ribs and slow-roasted baby-back ribs are served in half- or full-rack portions with a choice of two sides, including cornbread, apple coleslaw, fried sweet plantains and creamed spinach. If you brought your appetite, try a little bit of everything with the Big Time ($40), an entrée platter for two featuring ribs, chicken, burritos, tacos and a quesadilla. Other alternatives include the hand-battered, cornmeal-crusted catfish platter ($16) and the grub burger served any way you’d like it.
Heads Up: BYO; limited seating available.
The Scoop: The Grub Hut offers a variety of great daily specials. Monday’s special menu features all-you-can-eat tacos ($15) or all-you-can-eat ribs ($22).
