Cucumber Basil Caipirinha

"I love refreshing cocktails in the summer that are well balanced but not too sweet," says Chris Siversen, executive chef of Maritime Parc in Jersey City. "The cucumber, basil and lime add a wonderful freshness. It’s very important to use all fresh ingredients, especially the lime juice. The agave adds gentle sweetness that sugar cannot achieve. Basil adds a nice savory note."

Cocktail

Hi Rosie, I saw this and thought I would see if you would like our recipe and photo for my Thai’ed Mary - it’s a Martini. I wanted to create a much lighter version of a Bloody Mary, Jalapeno, ginger and lime infused simple syrup, tequila, tomato juice, lime juice and a few leaves of cilantro shaken and poured. Served @ Bar Cara. Let me and I’ll submit. Thanks!
