Olympian Jo Jo Starbuck, a Madison resident and three-time U.S. skating champion, shares her passion for recreational ice-skating through two adult classes in New Jersey each week. No experience necessary, Starbuck says, promising, “I’ll be gentle.” The benefits of ice skating include improved posture, balance and coordination. A great cardio workout, skating builds strength in the core, legs and back.

Bring your own skates for lessons every Tuesday at 1 pm at the Twin Oaks rink, 65 Columbia Road, Morristown, and Thursdays at 1 pm at the Codey Arena at 560 Northfield Avenue, West Orange (rental skates available). 10 classes/$250 or $35 per class. For information, visit her website.
