Salad plates, soup bowls, sterling silver and crystal from your mom and grandmother deserve a special place on your holiday table. What’s old is new again when you mix it up with a few updated pieces like simple, white dinner plates from Crate & Barrel.
And the next time you see vintage upholstered pieces in need of a little TLC, don’t be intimidated. It’s easy to find cool fabric (especially sale remnants!) at Calico. Love the lamp but not the worn shade? Ditch the shade for a new replacement, or re-cover the existing one. With a little imagination, it’s easy to upcycle old treasures stashed in your attic.
