Jackson, M.D, President, PGCS Board of Trustees; Andrea Quigley, PGCS Director of Development; Dr. John Connor, Associate Medical Director CCPF/The Maurice J. Spagnoletti Program; Marisa Spagnoletti, founder of The Maurice J. Spagnoletti Foundation and owner of Lucy’s Gift; Karen Carbonello, Executive Director SAFE in Hunterdon; Caitlin Bowring, Development Associate SAFE in Hunterdon; Rebecca Feldman, Morristown Council President.

I’m excited to tell you about Lucy’s Gift Boutique, a brand-new handbag, jewelry and accessories store in Morris County that features favorite labels like Kate Spade, Ralph Lauren, Tory Burch, Isaac Mizrahi, Michael Kors, Coach, Vince Camuto, Calvin Klein, Blu+Baker and Melie Bianco. Best of all, the store’s net profits go to charities that support the fight against violence and benefit children and families in need.

Lucy’s Gift Boutique will fund worthwhile organizations such as the P.G. Chambers School in Cedar Knolls, which assists children with special needs/disabilities; Safe in Hunterdon, a Flemington nonprofit that supports women and children affected by domestic violence; and CCPF in New York, a rehabilitation training program for chronically disabled and post-surgical orphans.

At the recent grand opening were store owner Marisa Spagnoletti; Lucy, Marisa’s daughter and the boutique’s namesake; Tim Dougherty, mayor of Morristown, as well as charity representatives and NY/NJ handbag and jewelry designers.

This really is an amazing story of tragedy turned into triumph.

The family’s mission is funding charitable initiatives through the Maurice J. Spagnoletti Foundation, known for its designer handbag auction each June. Marisa’s husband Maurice, a New Jersey banking executive was tragically killed in Puerto Rico in 2011. Marisa operates the boutique so that his legacy will live on.

“It is now time to heal and all come together to prevent violence,” Marisa says.

Lucy’s Gift Boutique, located at 168 South Street in downtown Morristown, offers top-tier customer service, helping women find special items in a wide variety of prices, colors and styles. The store also has a selection of luxury designer bags from Valentino, Gucci and Jimmy Choo as well as scarves, hats, gloves, toiletry bags and select jewelry lines. (All merchandise is never-worn. This is not a consignment shop.)

Whether you visit to browse or buy, effervescent Marisa looks forward to meeting other stylish local women who want to make a real difference in the community. Happy shopping!
