NJM: What is the focus of your practice?

We treat kids with special needs, adolescents, teens and young adults.

NJM: What technology has changed patient care in recent years?

Dentrix dental practice management software. We are completely paperless. All the medical records are paperless. All the x-rays are digital. They are put directly into the computer and integrate with the program, so when you pull up a patient’s chart, you have access to everything. You have access to the patient’s records, treatment plan and X-rays, which to me is a very huge thing. You don’t have to go pulling charts. It saves your employees time; it saves you time.

Also, I can get access from my computer at home and my phone. If a parent calls in—there’s been a trauma, we’ll get the phone call late at night—I can log into my computer, I can view all of my X-rays, all of the medical history and all the records that we have.

NJM: What are your favorite activities outside the office?

I am a Jersey boy, born and raised. So the Jersey Shore is always a great place. I love to travel when I can. I am a huge Yankees fan. I like sports. I like to try to stay active. I like movies. I like to watch TV. But spending time with my 1-year-old son and my wife, that’s probably the most important thing in my world.
