The independent film "Split Ends" is based on Libby Christensen’s true-life adventures running a hair salon. Maplewood resident Christensen, who had no previous writing experience, was helped on the project by friend and client Gila Zalon of West Orange, known for winning a New Jersey Director’s Choice award for her film, Dream House.

A town that lives up to its name, Sea Bright is a little jewel just south of Sandy Hook. It has a hip Asian-fusion restaurant (run by Bon Jovi's brother), a pub with arcade games and the best pizza in town, plus outdoor volleyball, yoga, a surf shop, doggie day care, and....oh, just go already!
