How my cat spent Sunday morning...

Do you like this story?

"Just can't wait for the Oscars tonight..."

This is Roscoe, Scottish Fold, age 15.

People ask about the ears. They're the same size as regular cat ears, except they have a fold of cartilage that makes the ears lie flat against the head. Making them look like owls, or furry little people. Cute.

Next month, in our annual BEST OF JERSEY issue, you will meet the anti-cute ELWOOD, who was named New Jersey's UGLIEST DOG, about whom a book for kids has been written by a Jersey author.

We'll also have plenty of conventional BESTS for you--food, shopping, the outdoors, entertainment, music, sports, the works.

How was that for a segue?

Meanwhile, post comments below about your unusual pet. And send pictures of same to us at

PET DESK, NEW JERSEY MONTHLY, 55 PARK PLACE, BOX 920, MORRISTOWN, NJ, 07963-0920

See, we're working on a package of PET STORIES for a future issue.

Thanks and regards,
