The green-and-white banners are flying.
I happened to be walking though Five Corners, West Orange, on my way to Gaffer's Pub for one of their excellent cheeseburgers with frizzled onions. Saw these banners:

If you enlarge the picture you'll see that the banner says, "Liquor lobby salutes the West Orange St. Patty's Day Parade."
Turns out this is not a lobby in the political sense but the name of the liquor store that is flying the banners: Liquor Lobby, 110 Harrison Avenue. 973-325-0833.
But speaking of St. Patrick's Day and things Irish, writer Terry Golway in our March issue reveals that corned beef and cabbage is an American creation, not a dish that immigrants brought from the Emerald Isle.
Check out Terry's article here: "The Streets Were Paved With Corned Beef."
