While on her way to the booth to cast a vote, our Mendham-based style editor ran into the town's most famous resident—Governor Chris Christie, who had his daughter in tow to exercise our nation's most important right and privilege. The Governor had a few words to say about the value of the democratic process.

Governor Chris Christie brings his young daughter Bridget to the Mendham Township firehouse to cast his vote on election day. Christie discusses the privilege of voting, involving his kids in the process, his reaction to last week's Saturday Night Live spoof of his hurricane press conference, and his conversation with Mitt Romney during the aftermath of Superstorm Sandy.

Voting with the Governor in Mendham

Good Afternoon Susan Brierly,

Loved your "on the spot’ interview with our Governor Christie and his daughter. You always amaze me with your willingness to seize the moment and involve us in local happenings.

I’m at work and it was so great to see the highlights at the voting poll today in Mendham.
Only you could make voting exciting.

Kind Regards,
