Looking for a restaurant to take your loved one? This week our food editor Rosalie Saferstein tells you where to have a romantic rendezvous for Valentine’s Day.

ARTHUR’S LANDING, Weehawken: The ambiance created by the twinkling lights of New York City at this waterfront restaurant, along with the wonderful food (fish is fabulous), will enliven your love life.

CHAKRA, Paramus:  Ask to sit in one of the pillow-backed banquettes or romantic silk-tented bungalows and dine on New American cuisine. Flickering candles throughout the restaurant create a sensuous mood.

THE DINING ROOM AT ANTHONY DAVID’S, Hoboken:  Leave this restaurant with romance in your heart after finishing a meal with the cheese course and bourbon-sauced doughnuts that Chef Pino is famous for.

15 FOX PLACE, Jersey City:  Ooh and ahh over the Victorian furniture, knick-knacks, and of course the multi-course prix-fixe dinner. Located in a former home on a residential street. (BYO)

HIGHLAWN PAVILION, West Orange:  We love to doll ourselves up (jacket required) and dine on the exemplary food while viewing the spectacular Manhattan skyline. Be sure to order a side of the truffled mashed potatoes.

LORENA'S, Maplewood:  This charming restaurant with refined service and a French-inspired seasonal menu will warm your hearts. Try anything chocolate for dessert. (BYO)

RESTAURANT LATOUR, Hardyston:  Locally grown produce is showcased and a private wine cellar with more than 51,000 bottles impresses us. Stay the night at the new Grand Cascades Lodge.

STONE HOUSE, Warren:  Fine dining, gorgeous décor — check out the glass enclosed wine tower — Riedel crystal, and Schönwald china all create a passionate setting for a Valentine’s feast.
