The Boss is back home this weekend, as Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band wrap up their European tour and play Giants Stadium Sunday, Monday and Thursday. Level 2 seats still available as of last night.

And Fox 5’s Good Day New York is live from Jenkinson’s Boardwalk in Point Pleasant Beach Friday 6-9 a.m. for a pre-concert “Big Bruce Springsteen Bash.” (full disclosure: the founder of NJ My Way is Fox 5’s News Director).

Still in Bruce territory, trendy Red Bank is having its 54th Annual Sidewalk Sale Friday through Sunday. Check out the huge number of upscale shops and antique stores that will bring their clearance items to sales tables outside, while you enjoy free live music by StreetLife.  Stay in town and dine in one of the terrific eateries downtown; a star is Restaurant Nicholas, one of the most critically acclaimed restaurants in New Jersey.

More Shore: some 180 artists and crafts people will display their work at the Long Beach Island Foundation headquarters in Loveladies, Saturday and Sunday.

Up north, the 26th annual Quick Chek New Jersey Festival of Ballooning takes off all Friday through Sunday at Solberg Airport in Readington. There will be amusement rides, a live concerts with Kenny Loggins, hands-on exhibits from NASA with New Jersey astronaut Garrett Reisman, arts and crafts exhibits, and five mass ascensions with up to 125 hot air balloons.

About a half hour west on I-78, historic Phillipsburg is celebrating its Olde Towne Festival with bands, food, amusements and crafters. It starts Friday at 6 p.m. with a local talent show and continues Saturday and Sunday from noon to 9 p.m.

Newark, too is having a party. It’s the 3rd Annual Lincoln Park Music Festival, with jazz, gospel, old school hip hop, arts and crafts, and an organic farmer’s market. It’s part of an effort by the Lincoln Park Coast Cultural District to transform a low-income neighborhood into an arts and culture urban eco-village.

And if you missed yesterday’s NJ My Way, you might not know about the upcoming Farm to Fork Week in South Jersey and Hudson Restaurant Week, mostly in Jersey City and Hoboken. Participating eateries will have special prix fixe dinners, and those in South Jersey also feature products fresh off New Jersey farms.

Springsteen Plays New Jersey

Hard-core fans of Bruce Springsteen who want to revel in the observations of fellow followers might not even know about this book. "For You" is a limited-run, hardcover volume with hundreds of concert photos and stories submitted by Springsteen's loyal fans including recollections about first shows and memorable moments. The Boss himself might like to read it. www.foryoubruce.com
