Tees for Moms

Proud mother of one? Have  twins? Maybe three children?

More?

Hillsborough mom (of three) Marlo Moleski wants you to proclaim it to the world, on the fashionable tops and tote bags she designs.

It all started after she gave birth to her youngest daughter, Demiana, in 2006. “I’d be out alone with her and people would ask me if she was my only one, so I kept saying I’m a mother of three,” she says. She also has Nicolette, now six, and four-year-old Luke.

“That gave me the idea for the tee-shirts,” she says. “I wanted to create shirts that told your story and made you look good.”

She had a background as a graphic designer, and in November of last year created shirts that said things like “Mommy Of Two,” or “New Mommy” or “Baby # 4.” The numbers go up to five.

At first, she sold mostly to friends and friends of friends, in person or through her website  www.luckymetee.com. Moms loved the shirts, so she decided to try to make it into a real business and attended her first trade show at the Jacob Javits Center in May.

The result: Her line expanded and is now available in some 40 stores across the country.  In New Jersey you can find it at Arts Plus Gallery in Collingswood, Bellezza Boutique in Turnersville, Birth Boutique in Denville, Cashmere in Bernardsville, Divine Obsessions in Manalapan, and Pop in Please in Franklin Lakes.

You can get Moleski’s long-sleeve tees in black or white, tank tops, hoodies, a tote bag for baby sundries, and a tee for baby.

Moleski describes her line as “stylish” and “sexy”—perfect for the Mom in your life!

Great story about taking an idea and running with it...

I enjoyed viewing this story as a testament to people that have big ideas and pursue them. Marlo was a graphic designer by trade and after experiencing having three kids (which is a full time job and then some), she decided to put her skills back to work and came up with a great idea. Then taking it to the next level by attending a trade show in NYC and expanding her line takes a lot of initiative and risk, so kudos to her...and I wish her the best with her growing business.

My wife also live in the Hillsborough area (we're in Montgomery Township) and have three children, and we've been working at home and raising our three little ones for the past 11 years. We came up with an idea of putting a web site together, helping couples find wedding planning information in New Jersey - http://www.njwedding.com - and we're happy to say that it's been successful.

We also recently developed a product for the wedding marketplace called the Art of Marriage Photo Frame - http://www.marriageframe.com - which is in it's "infancy" stages right now (we've had several orders and we're "getting the word out").

Kudos again to Marlo Moleski and to all the moms (and dads) that work hard to pursue their big ideas...don't give up on your dreams!
