The tiniest details can be most important, when it comes to putting your child’s special outfit together. And finding a barrette, bow, or band that exactly matches is daunting.

So Joanne Schlesinger of Long Valley created her very own line of hair accessories    (www.littlemissjulia.com) to help the littlest fashionistas achieve that pulled together look.

“My daughter was my inspiration for making hair accessories,”  Joanne wrote. “I believe a girl’s hair should always look pretty and wanted my daughter to have pieces that completed her outfits.”

The barrettes are brightly colored flowers, fruits, smile faces, and crystal. Each of the  accessories is handmade to ensure a higher standard of quality, according to Joanne.  The prices (most are $5 each) make you want to order a basketful. Some are even available to be customized.

“Little Miss Julia hair accessories are unique in style. It is not just another bow; it is an embellished, stylized barrette or alligator clip that will add style and glamour to any girl's hair,” Joanne told us.

There are pretty crystal clips for big girls too. And in development for the web is an accessory line for dogs. Some are already sold in upscale pet boutiques.

Joanne hopes these little things will be a big business someday. And along the way, she’ll help little girls—who want to look as stylishly pulled together as their moms.
