Farmers' Markets Winding Down

Some have already folded their canopies for the season, others will end the last weekend of this month. But a few continue into November. And at least two go year 'round.

Montclair, shown here, wraps up Saturday, November 22. It's held at the Walnut Street Train Station, one short block west of Grove Street.

That date always resonates for me. For many years it sent chills through me and virtually every American the way September 11 (which also happens to be my son's birthday) does now.

As people of a certain age will instantly recall, November 22, 1963 was the date President Kennedy was assassinated.

But I didn't mean this post to turn heavy.

On a lighter note, at least two farmers' markets operate all year:

Englishtown Auction Sales/ Farmers Market   off County Road 527, Englishtown; Sat. & Sun. 8am - 4pm

Trenton Farmers' Market 960 Spruce Street, Trenton; Year Round,  May - October, Tues. - Sun. 9 am - 6 pm; November - April, Thursday - Saturday, 9 am - 6 pm
