On Treat Place at the corner of Branford Place in Newark, there's a clothing store where what flanks the windows is more interesting--to me, anyway--than what is in the windows. Although they do look nice together.
I would love to be able to decode the busts and profiles that adorn these quasi-Corinthian columns.
Short of that I am left to admire their classicism and the abundance of imagery and imagery of abundance (like the grapes and vines) that are vestiges of downtown Newark's heyday.
Newark is making hay again, but they don't build columns like these anymore, especially on small corner clothing stores.
