On the Fifth of July, we drove up to Rhode Island to visit my mom. Drove home the same night.
But wherever you go, there you are.
Put another way, photography is both discovery and recognition.
A few pictures I brought back from my trip...
Top picture:
Can I help it if every time I see a little restaurant sink next to a frosty-faced mini-fridge and empty plastic jugs I think of R2D2 and his fellow droids waiting for further instructions?
We are still at Chelo's Waterfront Bar and Grille, scene of yesterday's Plain Sight.
Second picture:
And yet another droid, standing at attention at Chelo's, in a setting as neat and botanical as the entrance to any retirement community in Florida.
Third picture:
Next stop was the Salvation Army Thrift Store. My wife can slap the racks with the best of them. Result: A complete summer wardrobe for my mom for $60. Nice things, too. No schmatas.
This fur coat, however, we left on the rack, even at $45. It was worth photographing, though.
Fourth picture:
A group of young shoppers take a break.
