Say "Cheese Sandwich!"

My stroll up the Long Branch boardwalk next brought me to a bench where a young woman in a funny hat was taking pictures of her husband and twin boys as they munched on floppy white bread sandwiches. Clouds had covered the sun, but their radiance was undimmed.

The young woman's name was Catherine Peterson, and she could barely contain her giggles as she held up a point-and-shoot to photograph the men in her life: her husband, Chris, and their three-year-old sons, Gus (on the left) and Charlie (with a C on his metal bucket).

She said they live in West Orange and were on their way to visit friends in Spring Lake. But when the skies turned gray they decided to get off the Parkway and enjoy their sandwiches on the boardwalk before the rains came.
