The Palms of Pier Village

As seasonal as the weekenders who bask beneath them, palm trees on the Jersey Shore have to be replanted each summer, just ahead of the snowbirds who follow them north.

A pool, cabanas and palm trees bring a touch of Beverly Hills to the private beach club at Pier Village in Long Branch. For some reason, a gin and tonic tastes better when sipped within sight of a palm tree.
