In the Roscoe Vaults

Do you like this story?

Another tribute to my long-time buddy, Roscoe (1993-2010), found while searching through the Plain Sight archives...

A trip to the vet in probably 2009.

 iPhone pictures.

BTW, Roscoe was a Scottish fold. The ears are of normal size, but they lie flat because they lack a fold of cartilage that in other cats keep the ears erect.

Speaking of folds, on Roscoe's last visit to the vet, last week, when he was at death's door and Dr. George Cameron mercifully let him through that door, Cameron, who once had an aged fold himself, said to me, "They say there are only two kinds of cats. Scottish folds and others who wish they were Scottish folds."

I needed a laugh, and that gave me one.

Scottish Folds

A wonderful story. Thank you for sharing it. Brought a tear to my eye.
I own a Norwegian Forest Cat. In many ways she shares the personality and verve of the Fold.

Happy Thanksgiving to you. wb
