Stopped in at Santillo's Brick Oven Pizza in Elizabeth recently for the killer pie Al Santillo calls the Grandpa, which is a big crunchy square pie loaded with the works...
The concept of the Grandpa, which was Santillo's father's favorite pie, is that every bite should be different. So the toppings are criss-crossed over the pie in a kind of crazy quilt.
It's my favorite pizza. I need one on a regular basis or I go into pizza withdrawal.
