Who says Plain Sight doesn't do breaking news? When the news breaks right next door to our building, even PS becomes Jimmy Olsen.

You probably saw this on TV news last night. Two workers got stuck in the crow's nest of a crane 125 feet above the Green in Morristown while working on the steeple of the Methodist church. The fire department was summoned, and it took three cranes to get them down. Or rather, only the third crane was tall enough to effect the rescue.

Here, in this dramatic semi-telephoto photograph, the moment of actual rescue draws nigh as the cage is lowered into position next to the two towering captives.

Our building was evacuated by the police and FD for precautionary reasons and we spent the afternoon craning our necks upward. Fortunately, after about 2 and a half hours, the two workers were brought down none the worse for wear.

The number one topic of conversation-speculation-worry on the part on onlookers centered on the condition of the trapped men's bladders.
