Playground Berlin

Do you like this story?

A literal "kindergarten"--children's garden--grows in the Prenzlauer Berg section of Berlin among the blocky apartment buildings. It's about 5:30-6 pm, and I like how this one father, still in his business suit, kneels down to play with his kleine kinder.

I also like the sand, much more child-friendly than concrete or macadam, and the rough-hewn, impromptu look of the place, as if some parents hammered it together. Whether they did or not, I don't know.

Just out of the frame, to the right, was a waffle stand.
