The broad avenue known as Unter den Linden in central Berlin is the equivalent of Manhattan's Park Avenue, only much broader, with broader sidewalks, too. Berlin is spacious, and it doesn't have the skyscrapers that make canyons of midtown Manhattan streets.

In the foreground of this picture, something is under construction. After World War II Berlin obviously had a lot of rebuilding to do, but generations later the process of reinventing and updating Berlin goes on. Construction fences and equipment are a common sight on the streets.

The Michael Kors billboard gives you a foretaste of the kinds of stores that Unter den Linden and its intersecting avenue, Friedrichstrasse, are dedicated to.
