You gobbled up fresh Jersey corn all summer, right? Now it’s time for maze season. One of our favorite places to enjoy the cornfields is Springdale Farms in Cherry Hill, where the maze is open through November 1.
The Springdale Farms maze is cut in the shape of a sun giving off copious rays of light. Explore the maze and you’ll find pictures, clues, and games along the way with tidbits on the theme of renewable energy.
This isn’t one of those scary Halloween gimmicks, either, where guys in Jason masks and fake chainsaws jump out of the corn. The maze is mainly open in daylight hours, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday (last ticket sold one hour before closing).
But if you want an extra challenge, go through the maze on Flashlight Fridays, October 2 and 9. On those days, the maze is open from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. (again, last ticket sold one hour before closing).
If a maze isn’t quite your thing, Springdale offers campfires and hayrides (and, of course, their farm store—a great place for fresh Jersey produce). Check out their website for details.
