Gas prices are creeping up again. Looking to cut down on your drive time? Check out driveless.com, a South Jersey website that outlines auto alternatives.

Driveless.com is a project of Cross County Connection TMA (CCCTMA), which covers Burlington, Camden, Gloucester, Salem, Cumberland, Atlantic, and Cape May counties, and works toward easing traffic through the seven-county region.

Have you driven Route 70 through Marlton during rush hour? Then you know traffic is a major problem in South Jersey—and the CCCTMA has a long way to go.

They help by providing information via driveless.com about carpools, transit schedules, and telecommuting. They also list roads that are under construction, and scheduled completion dates.

Since picking up a bike last week at the Collingswood Bike Share, I’ve used the driveless.com bike map tool, which shows you the location of county bike routes, bikeway tours, and which bike paths offer the best views. I haven’t had a bike since high school, so even their basic tips, like riding with, instead of against, traffic, and how to indicate to drivers that I’m turning, have helped keep my bike—and my bones—intact.

For more information, and to sign up for the CCCTMA newsletter, go to driveless.com.
