Looking for something to do with the kids this weekend? Check out the Faeries and Wizards Family Festival at the Camden Children’s Garden.
The event, which runs Saturday and Sunday, adds even more magic to this four-acre city garden. Kids can make their own wizard hat or fairy wings, or come dressed in a costume they already have. The festival will also include storybook reading, games, and crafts. It’s not an expensive outing, either: $6 for adults, $5 for children ages 3 to 11, and free for kids 2 and younger.
The Camden Children’s Garden opened in 1999 and is an extension of the Camden City Garden Club, which since 1985 has worked to teach Camden residents about gardening and provides job training and employment for at-risk youths. This Camden Children’s Garden is designed with kids in mind and includes three indoor attractions, including a butterfly house, and outdoor exhibits.
The Camden Children’s Garden is open Saturday and Sunday from 10 am to 5 pm. The festival runs from noon to 4 pm. each day.
