If you haven’t broken your New Year’s diet resolution yet, this might be the final straw: Atlantic City is holding its annual Restaurant Week from February 28 to March 6.
This is the second time Atlantic City restaurants have joined together for meal deals. Last year, 70 restaurants offered fixed-priced menus and food bargains.
It worked. Business jumped 20 percent for participating restaurants, and 22 percent of diners surveyed by the Atlantic City Convention and Visitors Authority said they stayed overnight because of Restaurant Week.
This year, 82 restaurants are signed up. Additionally, parking meters on Atlantic Avenue between Mississippi Avenue and Virginia Avenue are free from 6-11 pm during Restaurant Week. Many of the casinos are offering hotel deals to match the restaurant bargains, too.
