Meet Designer Yoana Baraschi at the Red Toad Trunk Show!

If you shop at Neiman Marcus, Lord & Taylor, Bloomingdale's and fine women's clothing boutiques, you probably already know fashion designer Yoana Baraschi. Come meet her in person!

Visit the Red Toad boutique in Gladstone on Thursday, October 16 between 10 am and 6 pm as Yoana presents her gorgeous fall 2014 collection. It’s sporty, yet refined, in a palette of cool greys, chic blacks and fiery tones.

I especially like the charitable component of her fall collection: Yoana will donate a portion of the proceeds to GEMS – Girls Education and Mentoring Services, a U.S. organization that helps young women who have experienced commercial sexual exploitation.

Yoana was born into a family of artists and studied as a sculptor. Her design career began in Paris, where she trained with visionary fashion designer Emmanuelle Khan. There she focused her artistic eye on the way clothing drapes on the female body. Yoana also apprenticed with Mario Valentino, Thierry Mugler and Cacharel. The fashion houses of Paris gave her a classical foundation that led to New York opportunities. Once Yoana arrived in New York, she worked as design director for Guess and then as creative director for Betsey Johnson. Yoana founded her own business in 2003.

Today she is known for unusual pairings of textures and silhouettes that flatter the figure. Yoana Baraschi has quickly become a go-to favorite for Hollywood celebrities — and for women who enjoy classic clothes with an unexpected twist.
